|NY Strip or Ribeye is perfect for Hibachi Steak. Try this quick recipe from my son and daughter-in-law. It makes enough for lunch leftovers. What could be better than that?|
|Salt and pepper both sides of steak. Add any of your favorite spices.|
For best results, heat your cast iron skillet in the oven on 500 degrees.|
- Remove skillet from the oven and put on the stove at medium high heat.
- Add a thin layer of oil to the pan. Add steak.
- Drizzle soy sauce on steak. Sear each side for 30 seconds.
- Reduce heat to medium. Turn steak every 2 minutes until desired doneness. (Medium rare takes about 3 to 4 minutes each side)
|Cooked Steak is very juicy. Let it rest for 7 to 8 minutes.|
|Cut into 1" cubes.|
|Clean skillet. Add precooked white rice and 2 TBSP soy sauce. Stir and quick fry for a couple of minutes. Serve rice topped with steak. Great with Shrimp Sauce. |
